I provide editorial consultation for writers of all ages and skill levels. If you need another pair of eyes on a set of poems or application essay, I would love to help you.

Past and present editorial and adjudicative experience includes The Skybridge Review, Washington Square Review, COUNTERCLOCK Journal, Snaggletooth Magazine, Black Lawrence Press, Scholastic Art and Writing Awards (regional and national), and the National Student Poets Program.

  • Editorial: The depth and breadth of our work together is entirely up to you. Some clients ask for feedback on one poem, others send me submission packets or manuscripts. Some prefer line edits, others ask for written feedback. We will work together to ensure that my editorial process and feedback is most relevant to your needs.

    Commissioned Poem: For any person or occasion! I would love to write a poem for you or your loved one. Weddings, birthdays, Valentines’ Day—poems are underrated gifts.

  • MFA Applications: If you’re looking to polish your MFA application essays, refine your work sample, or even just talk through the application process, I am here! Having spent time in both the NYU and Hunter College Creative Writing MFA programs, I have unique insight into how these programs differ from each other, what they look for during the application process, and how to assess your compatibility with a given MFA program. There are many factors to consider—funding, size, and duration, just to name a few—and the process is difficult to navigate alone. I found it very opaque, and it doesn’t need to be. Don’t hesitate to reach out.

    Other: I can help with anything from copywriting and grammatical/syntactic polishing to structural feedback on your storytelling itself. While most of my freelance work in this vein is related to application essays, I am happy to work with anyone and everyone. Past clients include high schoolers, undergraduates, MFA and medical school hopefuls, and others.
